Warren County welcomed a record number of tourism-related visitors in 2017, according to the Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The county’s numerous entertainment, shopping and dining attractions surpassed 12 million visitors for the first time in 2017, toppling a previous record set in 2016, according to attendance figures compiled by the WCCVB.
Phillip Smith, the vistors bureau’s president and CEO, said he credits the influx in visitation to the county’s growing reputation as both a convenient and affordable travel destination.

“Whether you’re a roller coaster diehard, interested in the outdoors, a small-town shopper or a foodie, you’re going to find something you love in Warren County,” Smith said. “Our terrific variety of attractions and hotels, coupled with the fact that we’re both affordable and easily accessible for most, has made us a very appealing option to travelers of all types.”

Among the county’s most visited attractions in 2017 were Kings Island, Caesar Creek State Park, Miami Valley Gaming, the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival and the Western & Southern Open.

Tourism is the nation’s top industry, accounting for one in every nine jobs, or 11 percent of the workforce, According to the latest economic study conducted by the State of Ohio.
